Today in math we did mental math. I got a low mark in it. Then we got a Venn Diagram and a work sheet to finish before christmas. I have a lot of work to do on my trip. I might not get it all done. We will see.

Today in math I didnt learn much because at was over playing band at another school. But when I got into math class I understanded everything he said. I think I should start doing some exercises.

Today in Math we learned more stuff about rational expressions. We had to do a lot with factoring. In the middle of the lesson I was really confused how you factor out the bottom but then it kinda made sense. I think I can do some things in acc math now.

Today in math we started to learn about simplifying rational expressions. It helps me because this is what I am working in acc math.

Today I got my test back and I got 69%. I am probably going to write the re-test if I have time. This class was a work period which helped.

In Math today, we did mental math and I got 90%. The rest of the class was just a work period because our tests were still getting marked. In acc math I finished a long exercise and got a test for it. Also I printed the rest of the objectives that are assigned. I will probably do the test on Thursday on trig because I am really good at it.

Today in math we did not do mental math. All class today we learned about non-permissible values. I think its kinda easy so far. Its all about finding what x cannot be. The pictures really help to see on what x cannot be and how many times the line crosses the x axis.

Today in math we learned how to solve a triangle with the Law of Cosines when you only have 3 side lengths. I found it really easy because you just stick to the formula.

Today in math we did a lot of things. First we started with mental math. After that we started to learn about the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines. The Law of Sines I think is way easy then the Law of Cosines. The Law of Cosines was really confusing at first but then it got better later on. I can finish my acc math now because I know how to do the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines.

Today in Math, We skipped mental math because of day two. For the rest of the class we just went over the rest of the test. It helped me lots about what I did wrong. In acc math, I have to wait till he teaches the law of sines, and law of cosines to get the rest of it done.

Today in Math, We did not do metal math in class because there is a test tomorrow. We just went staright into review about solving in differnet forms. The Three Forms are point slope, point intercept, and standard form. I think standard form is kinda stupid but o well.

Today in math we learnt how to find the relationships between parrallel and perpendicular lines. It was really confusing at first but then it got easier. I didnt get the part he was talking about with the piano stool. Mental math was easy today. We did acc math for about 15 minutes.

Today in math we learned a formula to find out linear equations. It is areally cool way to do it. Its called Point Slope form.

Today in math we learned how to graph straight lines. And how to figure out the cordinates of them.

Today in math class we learned how to find slope by using three different formulas. I think it is pretty easy.

Today we had our second math test. I thought i did really well on it. after we just did accelerated math.

Today we found out an easier way to find the distance between 2 points on a grid. I thought it was a way better formula.

Today, we learned a lot about the cartesian plane. It was a lot of review. We also learned about how to measure distance on a x-y graph.

Today in math class we learned how to factor difference of squares. I thought it was kinda easy. I knew how to do it before. So I liked this lesson.

In math class today we learned how to factor trinomials using a different way. It was confusing at first but after the second example I got used to it.

Today in class we just had a test and I thought I did good. After that I just did accelerated math. I kinda get the long division but sometimes it doesnt make sense.

A) What is the volume of the box?
B) What is the max value of x?



A) V=L x W x H
V=(8-2x)(8-2x)(x)
V=64-16x-16x+4x squared(x)
V=64x-16x squared- 16x squared+4x cubed
V=4x cubed-32x squared-64x

B) The max value of x has to be three. The reason why four wouldn't work is because the side is 8cm. If you had taken away 4cm off both of the corners, there would be nothing left for a open topped box.
